Most people think of spring as a new beginning, rebirth or a fresh start. Every spring I tend to focus on new beginnings, new adventures I’d like to go on, and of course a new wardrobe. I also think of spring as rain, lots and lots of rain!
March and April were very wet months in Vancouver, it was so dreary that my excitement to look for a new spring outfit was low, so low that I didn’t even feel like sharing an outfit post. But that soon changed, I woke up one Saturday morning and ventured out to find something cute, and I did, I ended up at Penningtons and found this cute d/c Jeans denim jacket!
I’ve always found it difficult finding a good jean jacket that fits the way I like, not anymore, this one is really great, the sleeves are wide, the length is perfect for my 5’8 frame and it has a touch of distressed pattern to give it that edgy look I like.
I’m wearing a size 2x and I find it fits well, true to size in my opinion.
I ended up going with a simple black knit dress from Forever 21 and a pair of light pink ballerina flats from Call It Spring. These flats are so cute, when I first saw them the ankle tie reminded me of how badly I wanted to be a ballerina when I was little girl, never ended up taking any dance classes but at least I finally got my ballerina slippers!
The rain didn’t cooperate this day but at least my outfit did, I really love this coat, it goes with everything and I can wear it in spring, summer and fall. Penningtons, you never fail me!
